From LAX, there is a shuttle that will take you to Ojai. It takes a very long time, and other passengers will all be dropped off before the shuttle reaches Ojai, which is the very last stop.

Ojai has free trolley services and Uber/Lyft.

We use Turo for car rental services (like AirBnB for cars), though it is more than a hastle than renting from a car rental agency.
